Portable is in!

In a world where the need for information portability is becoming increasingly vital to conducting business, we at Quantum Computer Systems recognized this need to develop an inexpensive portable solution for our system.

The apparel industry requires that sales and production teams have immediate and accurate information while at the customer sites or overseas.  The classic solution has been the notebook computer.  Equipping each salesperson with a notebook computer is expensive and carries a variety of security and management issues. Web access also has security and management considerations and in many instances connecting to the home office from the client site is not possible.

Other systems require complicated database management software and in most cases cannot be portable. We have developed the technology to have the entire Q Apparel® system, including your data loaded on USB Flash Drive.

Complete solution

Our solution is wholly contained inside the USB module.  When a user plugs the USB Flash drive into any computer, Q Apparel® system will operate as if the user is at his desk in the home office; without using the host computer’s hard drive. The portable system is identical in functionality to the server based including user access rights, printing and emailing.

When you purchase the portable modules, all programs will be synchronized with your server based system.  When new updates are available for your server software, they will also be synchronized with the portable version.

Easy to use

Included is a synchronization program.  Your administrator will be able to easily and quickly synchronize the portable unit with users’ privileges, settings and preferences. Data is also synchronized according to the user’s needs.  When a user logs in to the portable program, he or she will enter their username and password exactly as they do in the office.

Fast

In our testing we were delighted with the robustness of the system, including viewing of images.

And the feedback from our beta testers was excellent!

Secure

Your administrator can set an expiration date to the portable unit; when expired, the programs will not run unless the administrator unlocks the portable unit. Unauthorized attempt to copy the programs out of the USB drive is not permitted. Copied programs will not run and will cause the system to shut down.

Inexpensive

Place you order and we will provide you with pre-loaded portable version of YOUR software, settings and user-rights on a USB Flash Drive.  We will also include the synchronization program. Each USB Flash drive will contain a single user license to the programs loaded on the device.  And will not affect your server user licenses.
